Experience CAVALLUNA behind the scenes: Away from the breathtaking show, there is so much more to discover that remains hidden during a regular show visit. On our exclusive Backstage Tour, you will learn not only how the horses live and are cared for, but also how the show works, where the performers get ready, details about logistics, and much more.
Tour itinerary:
- Start of the Backstage Tour: Your tour guide will welcome you at the meeting point, and you will set off on the Backstage Tour together.
- Behind the scenes: During the tour, you will explore the backstage area and the area directly behind the stage. Take a close-up look at props and costumes and discover fascinating facts about show operations, technology, and logistics.
- Visit to the stable areas: Another part of the tour takes you to the stables. Here, you can see for yourself how well the animals are housed and cared for. Of course, you will also get up close to one or two of our four-legged stars.
Become part of the show preparations and see for yourself the professional and unique processes involved in a large-scale production with animals.

Enjoy a unique backstage adventure with funny and fascinating anecdotes.
The exclusive tours take place either before or after a show and last approximately 45 minutes. The meeting point is indicated on your ticket and is usually signposted at the venue – typically in the arena foyer. From there, the group proceeds together to the backstage area and the stable tents. If you cannot find the meeting point straight away, our admissions or box office staff will be happy to assist you.
Please note:
- A valid admission ticket for the respective show is required to participate.
- All participants aged 5 and over need their own ticket for the Backstage Tour.
- Children under the age of 5 may join free of charge (no additional ticket required).
- Children under the age of 16 may only participate when accompanied by an adult.
Prices:
A backstage tour costs from €29.90 (CHF 40 in Switzerland) and lasts about 45 minutes. Each participant requires their own ticket. Children under 5 years may join free of charge. Please note: The number of places per tour is limited.

Questions about the backstage tour
How much does the backstage tour cost and how long does it last?
The backstage tour costs from €29.90, or 40 CHF in Switzerland, and lasts about 45 minutes.
Each participant requires their own ticket. Children under 5 years can join for free.

Yes, if the child is at least 16 years old. However, it is necessary that you personally hand over your child to the guide of the backstage tour and also pick him/her up again at the end of the backstage tour. Children up to the age of 15 are only allowed to take part in the stable tour if accompanied by an adult. For this, both child and adult need an admission ticket.
By the way: According to the law for the protection of minors, children and young people under the age of 16 may only enter the arena if accompanied by an adult.
Where is the meeting point for the backstage tour and what if I can't find it?
The meeting point for the backstage tour will be marked by a sign on site, usually in the arena foyer. From there, the group will proceed together to the backstage area and the stable tents.
If you are unable to find the meeting point, the entrance or box office staff will be happy to assist you.
Can I take photos or videos during the backstage tour?
Smartphones and small-format cameras are welcome – but please without flash.
The following are not permitted:
• Professional cameras (e.g. DSLRs)
• Interchangeable or large lenses
• Commercial use of the footage
Private photos and videos are welcome – and we’d love it if you shared them on social media with us. Don’t forget to tag us!I’m a wheelchair user or I’m severely handicapped. Is it possible for me to take part in the backstage tour?
Yes, we will definitely enable you to join the backstage tour.
Please note that your companion also needs a ticket. Due to limited capacity, we unfortunately cannot offer free companion tickets for the backstage tour.

When can I buy tickets for the backstage tour?

Can I participate in the backstage tour without attending the show?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. You can only take part in the backstage tour if you also have a valid ticket for the show on the same day.
Both tickets – for the show and the backstage tour – will be checked on site.Am I allowed to pet or feed the horses during the backstage tour?
Some of our horses like to be petted very much. Others prefer to be left alone before or after the show. This is why touching the horses is only allowed if the backstage tour guide or the owner/rider agrees. However, you should always pay attention to the animals’ reaction. If they turn away or signal that they feel uncomfortable in any other way, you must be respectful. CAVALLUNA is not liable for any damage that is caused in this respect.
Feeding is not allowed, because each horse gets a specially assembled food and has its own feed times. We also want to prevent possible intolerances to treats brought by visitors. Our horses’ wellbeing is ever so important to us.May I ask the riders/actors for autographs?
Just bring a pen and something for the riders to sign – then you will get your autograph as a personal souvenir!
Will I miss part of the show if I take part in a backstage tour?
The backstage tours always take place before and after the shows. The meeting point is always positioned so you have enough time to get to the show, and you don’t have to leave the show early. You can therefore enjoy the entire show.
