Thanks to his touching liberty dressage performances and the palpable connection between him and his horses, Bartolo Messina has been a crowd favourite for many years. The friendly Italian rider and exceptional talent started out in the season of 2014/2015. Within seconds, he won the audience’s hearts with his colourful group of horses and an impressive liberty dressage performance in the biggest arenas in Germany and Europe. Since then, Bartolo and his team have been part of the CAVALLUNA family.
His horses are part of the family
Originating from the beautiful Island of Ischia, Bartolo, has dedicated his entire life to the elegant animals. He keeps about twenty show horses at his farm in sunny Italy.
Originating from the beautiful Island of Ischia, Bartolo, has dedicated his entire life to the elegant animals. He keeps around twenty show horses at his farm in sunny Italy. At his premises called “Aragonas Arabians”, everyone lives for the beautiful animals: Friends, acquaintances and family members enjoy his training sessions in the evenings as often as possible. And for his two sons, it’s also all about horses. The first-born, Antonio (6), has become a little star himself: During a short liberty dressage performance, he shares the stage with his father and nine miniature Shetland ponies. And Leonardo (2) is following in his big brother’s footsteps: Even before he could walk, you could see him sitting on Bartolo’s horses with a sparkle in his eyes and without any fear.

The riding team at CAVALLUNA

Of course, his cute miniature Shetland ponies will also be performing in the arena.
