SHOWPALAST MÜNCHEN

A look behind the scenes

At the CAVALLUNA PARK in Munich you have the unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of our theater. Take part in one of our guided tours and take a seat on one of the 1700 seats in the hall.

Since November 5, 2017, the SHOWPALAST MUNICH is home to the new show highlight of Bavaria – EQUILA.

Nature inspired architecture

The impressive theater, planned by the international star architects GRAFT, is located in the heart of the CAVALLUNA PARK and was built especially for the show. Marvel at the architecture, which was inspired by nature: Modern elements merge with natural materials to unique shapes. Have you ever looked at the façade of the theater from afar? From a distance, it is reminiscent of the silhouette of free-running horses.

Most modern technology

Learn more about state-of-the-art video projections and surround sound technology that will immerse you in the magical world of EQUILA. An elaborate room design with amphitheater seating, an oval stage area of 1,500 square meters and state-of-the-art stage, sound and lighting technology raise the boundaries between the auditorium and the stage.

One of the largest LED walls in Europe

Of course, our guides will also show you our impressive LED wall during the theater tour, which will allow for the special “in-between experience”. Incidentally, the video screen with around 600 square meters is one of the largest fixed LED walls in Europe and at the same time the heart of the EQUILA stage set.

Float above the audience

Did you already experience the show? Five airframes make sure that our artists hover over the big stage. With our 1D airframe, the acrobats and dancers are moved up and down, two 2D airframes are used by our aerial acrobats. A very special construction is the 3D airframe with winches: this is the main character Phero floating above the heads of the audience and at the same time turning around its own axis – really unique!
